Creative writing

Till Tales

The task was simple. Tell a short story in the form of a till receipt. No backstory. No exposition. No conversation. Just a fictional list of purchased items. Each story is exactly 54mm wide and monospaced.

Think subtext, implication, suggestion... Till Tales embraces the show-don’t-tell concept. Till Tales is a brilliant read and a brilliant writing concept for ADHD minds and non-ADHD ones, too.

If I ever find a till receipt in a trolley again, I’ll never look at it in the same way. 🛒
