Every brand has a story...
Moo Marketing was born out of a love of creativity, sweets, and marketing. One Christmas, aged circa five, my grandad bought me a mini-market toy sweet shop.
After selling a few pineapple chunks and dolly mixtures, the sweet shop fell on tough times. I soon realised that 70-year-olds with false teeth weren’t ideal clients. Something needed to be done. And fast.
So, with a pack of the latest Crayola crayons and some Woolworths paper, I embarked on a marketing campaign even the most gifted five-year-old had never attempted.
Loyalty cards (I was ahead of my time) and discount vouchers were given to every adult I encountered, from the bemused Avon lady to the local green grocer. Suddenly, discounts and loyalty cards turned the sweet shop around. Visitors were coming from ten doors down, and stocks needed to be replenished.
A BCG matrix and SWOT analysis later highlighted that diversification was critical. The cash cow now needed a supplementary business, so I embarked on writing and selling stories about unicorns. From that moment, it became clear: creativity and storytelling could turn attention into action.
